This is the one place I can say is the most "regular" joint the wife and I visit. We're here almost weekly. Their steak tacos are like crack. Not that I've ever tried crack, but I hear it's pretty addictive. Anyway, back to the tacos, they are muy bueno. I'm not sure how they season the steak, but they put just the right amount of char to the meat. Also, very rarely do you come across a fatty piece like you do at other places. I also get the steak sope regularly. Holy crap, are they good. The fried masa which serves as the base has some heft to it which helps since once you pick this bad boy up, you'll need something sturdy to hold up all the fixings on top. Again with the steak, love it on the sope, along with the right amount of refried beans and sour cream. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I've only seen two servers there in the time we've been going to this place. Both of the ladies are really nice and friendly. The few times we've dined-in, we've never had any issues. The food was ready fast, and the servers were by often enough to be helpful without being annoying. Do yourself a favor and stop by here and grab some the next time you pass by. Oh, and get both the salsa verde and the medium salsa to top it all off.

I've been going here since Las Vegas' early days. Their al pastor are THE best in burbs and the city, Since I've moved to city I've had tacos from Pilsen to Uptown to St Charles, and no one has the delicate spices and tenderness that Las Vegas brings to the table. Their red homemade salsa is also top notch as well, as long as you can handle hot authentic salsa. I recently visited here after 3 year hiatus and did not disappoint, thanks for all your yumminess.

I'm sorry. My burrito was dripping with water and had more lettuce (hence why it was probably so wet) than beef. Because of the amount of lettuce, the beef was cold, or maybe it was cold to begin with. The burrito felt like it was wrapped twice with tortilla. The prices are moderately priced for a Mexican joint, but you can just head west down North Ave to an even cheaper place and get a better experience.

Vegetarian burrito is great deal, delicious, and a quick to-go meal. Servers are nice and efficient. My favorite place in this hood!

Their overpriced and not very authentic. Tamale was chewy and hard...not much flavor had to dump salsa over it. Wish I woulda read the reviews prior, band aid disgusting!!!

Do yourself a favor and come here! Skip the fast food options, the is fresh, good and fast! Great guacamole and I loved the spicy pork burrito. Pay attention to the address, because it shows up incorrectly on the map function on iPhone.

Great grub, low prices. The steak burritos are as stated, are very tasty. Fish quesadilla was a winner too. Their kids meal with the taco and beans and rice is way better than a happy meal from the golden arches up the road. A family of 3 eats for $15--not bad!

The steak tacos are as good as ever... my husband and I actually ate here TWICE in one day. They really load the taco with the meat and if you dine in the salsa is awesome!

The food is good.....but paying $10.79 for a veggie (bean) burrito is way too much in my opinion..you can get the same size burrito for half the price at a grocery store across the street an to the east.

I felt obligated to leave a review for this little place. My husband and I were looking for a great burrito place that reminds us of some good ones in the city. It took us awhile, but we found it here! Their steak burritos are DELICIOUS. They have an extensive mexican menu and I have a feeling anything else you get would be really good too. If you are looking for a great burrito place this is it. Nothing fancy but great food!

This place is in an unappealing strip mall next to a laundromat and a liquor store, but the food keeps me coming back. I usually get the lunch special, which is two tacos, rice, beans and a drink for $6. You also get chips and salsa. The steak tacos are not to be missed. The seasoning on the steak is awesome and the tortillas are delicious. The service here is always great, too.

Great place fast service !!! very affordable . Las Vega's Burrito is definitely a "hole in the wall" gold mine! I always order my food to go (I wouldn't call it a dine-in restaurant, though they do have tables for seating). Anyways, their carne asada tacos are AMAZING!! I'm from california where good mexican food is a dime a dozen, and I find that it's harder for me to find good mexican food here....but I am so happy to have found this place. The location and actual storefront I'd rate as 1-star, but the the food carne asada taco's I'd rate as a 4.5-stars! And the prices are great too! The rice and bean's I'd give 3.5-4.0 stars, and the Flan I'd also rate as 4-star. Overall good tacos!

I really enjoy the food here. I find it to be fresh and authentic. The service is always very attentive. Food is priced reasonably, Wednesdays are half priced margaritas. Don't be fooled by the location, it is a hole in the wall, but you'll never be disappointed.

I found a bandaid in my steak burrito after chewing on it thinking it was a tough piece of steak. I was going to swallow it, luckily I decided to investigate what it was. This was in August 2010. I was not yelping then. I actually sort of feel bad that I have to post this about this place, but there is NO WAY that should happen. I don't care if it was an accident or not. Accidents happen, but this should have easily been avoided if it was an accident. I need to stop typing now because I'm getting pissed thinking about it. Disgusting!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
